The Acronym NARESA stands for Network of AIDS Researchers of Eastern and Southern Africa.
NARESA - Kenya is one of the pioneers on PMTCT in Kenya. In 1999, during ICASA - Abidjan, NARESA hosted a meeting that brought together USAID, UNICEF, UNAIDS, public health practitioners and academics to explore how existing knowledge on PMTCTcould be packaged for integration into existing maternal services in resource constrained settings.
